What a waste of time Louisville Kentucky

The following is a letter that I am submitting to the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney Generals Office for poor business practices that your company engages in. As well I intend to post it on every complaint website that I find that involves your business name.

Sure Point Lending who prides themselves in "straight talk straight answers." What a joke. I started the application on 041307 and spoke for approximately 1 hour with Mr. Jason Branum the following day. I was up front with my credit problems and he said he would see what he could do for me. I wasn't really expecting much because my credit sucked but I was in a position that I had to move and I thought what the heck I'll give it a shot. I was contacted a few days later by Jason and told great news. Per my credit I was approved for $160,000 100% financing. I was trying to purchase the home I was renting but that didn't work out so I was advised to get a realtor and have them contact Jason and we would go from there. I found a home and had submitted all of the paperwork that was needed as asked for. I put $1000 down on the home, I had to get homeowners insurance, I paid $350 for an appraisal and put a lot of time and effort into this. All of my paperwork had been submitted at least a month prior to our settlement date which was to be 062107. The day I was approved per my credit Jason stated that he had seen a judgment on my credit report from my property management company from 2003 and asked if it was taken care of and I advised him yes and did he need proof of this and he told me no. I submitted a record of my rent payments for 10 years that we had rented and this was supplied by the property management company. I also had my landlord complete a form they had given me. She was not really aware of my late payments because she did not handle them. The property management company did which I told them numerous times. This paperwork was sent to them at the very least one month prior to settlement.

Settlement was to be on a Thursday and I received an email form Jason on Monday telling me that he had everything he needed and we were good to go on Thursday. The next day he called me urgently telling me that underwriting needed proof that the judgment from 2003 was paid off. I sent my husband to get this and faxed it over to them the next day. I then get a call about an hour later from Jason and please keep in mind that this is the day before settlement that they will not be able to give me the loan because I was late on too many of my rent payments. They were right that i was late HOWEVER this is information that they had for at least a month and that I had told Jason on day one. Basically I was told "Sorry." I had to be out of my home by the end of the month and had nowhere to go.

This ineptitude has impacted three families that were not able to make their move as planned due to this. My seller had to put his home back on the market and hope he could sell it and was not able to make settlement on his home which delayed his seller from doing the same. It has been a nightmare experience and i would like to see something done so that it does not happen to anyone else. Obviously someone at your company did not do their job but I should not have had to pay for it like I did.
