Credit Union on Army base not troop or deployment friendly

I've used this credit union, whose main branch is on Fort Lewis Army Base, for several years, and as they've been "expanding" off-post and "improving" services, customer service has declined drastically.

I'm deployed overseas 8 to 9 months a year so have to do 90% of my business and bill paying online, in addition to transfering funds to my wife while I'm away. All too often their transfer service is down with "technical difficulties", and the alternative is a wire transfer which they will rarely waive the fees for even if their transfer system is down. The transfer service itself is often slow and unreliable. The number of days (yes, I said days) it takes to complete an electronic tranfer between branches is anywhere from 1.5 to 4 business days, which is just ridiculous.

They have a message board to contact them online, but it's checked infrequently and the responses are generic "we'll look into that" memos. The messages are also restricted in length so if there's a real issue it takes 2 or 3 to fully express what you need done.
If it wasn't going to be such a nightmare to have my direct deposit changed I'd have closed this account months ago.instead, I'm tranfering the majority of my funds to another institution, and recommend anyone else who banks with them to do the same. For being a "military friendly" credit union, they aren't very accomidating to people in my situation.
