Paid $39.94 for government funds and never heard back

Mid january i was on line and seen ad for government monies to start a business or pay bills ect; i read all and so did my father. We were pretty sure this was a legitimate company. The company was Goldstar and you needed to pay $39.94 to get to the monies. Ok. Maybe not the best idea for free monies but we'll try. I paid it and they emailed me back with confirmation thru gateway@linkpt.net. I waited for few weeks and never heard from them so i tried to e-mail them and there were technical details of permanent failure. Also mailbox was not available. There is no phone number to reach them and so I lost my monies. I know we all have our scam stories but I lost my husband May 'o7. I can't do much work and now I"m out monies.
