Builder Rude, Unprofessional, and Misleading Customer Service Salt Lake City Utah

I ordered a book from this company which is supposed to be a wealth building program. How can a wealth building program that truly works take your money?

I called to order one book in September. The customer service rep did her job and continued to upsell on other products. I understood that the products would be free. I listened to a recorded conversation and I must admit that it was misleading.in the conversation I rephrased and asked her if it would be free and I would just be responsible for the $3.00 shipping. She stated "yes". That was incorrect information.

I never received any notification that I owed money by mail, phone, or e-mail, although they did have all the correct contact information. I received a bill in Febrauary 2007 for $399.75. A week later I received a bill from a collection agency. It was added to my credit file on March 3rd.

The most upsetting part about it all was the way a representative named Spencer talked to me. He talked to me as if he wasn't at work. He used statements such as "Cry me a river", "Did I hurt your feelings", This conversation is over", "What do you want from me", "Are you mad at me". The things that this young man said was almost unbelieveable. I called the department three different times trying to reach a different representative to no avail. Spencer stated that he was his own supervisor when I asked for his supervisor's contact information.

I am still working to resolve this issue and I don't know if it is looking in my favor or not.
