Loral Langemeier, Wealth Foundation
Beware Free Book for $9.95 shipping can cost you Hundreds

Miscellaneous

I had heard Loral Langemeier speak before and was impressed by the speech that she made. Later heard an advertisement on the radio that you could get her book for shipping and handling and they gave an 800 number. When I called they also tried to sell me some other stuff, that was not a surprise. I said I was not interested and thet I just wanted the book and gave them my credit card info and address. A week or so later I got a call and they asked if I got the book yet. I had not and told them so and they said they would call back in a foe days. I thought at the time that it was nide that they were concerned. A few days later I got the book and then later received another call from them.in my recollection I told them that I got the book and was satisfied with the transaction. Today I saw a charge on my Credit Card from the Wealth Foundation for $29.95 and woundered what it was. I looked at prior months and saw additional charges for $29.95 going back months and months. I called the Wealth Foundaton and talked with their customer service and asked why I was being repeatedly charged $29.95 every month and was told it was to pay for their phone mentoring program which I have never used nor have ever to my knowledge been told how to use or access and to my knowledge I never requested such a service. I was told that I agreed to a 30 day free trial of the service when I acknowledged receipt of the book and that the monthly charges were because I never asked them to cancel the service after the 30 day trial. I told them that I want to cancel the service immediately and that I would like a refund of the charges since I have never used the service, and never told how to use the service, and do not know how or desire to use the service. I was told that they would cancel the service but would not refund the prior charges.in my opinion this is highly unethical. This scam works by them hooking you with a "Free"book and hoping that you will not notice the small monthly charge of $29.95 and they have a stream of income for nothing, multiplied by a large number of people for a lot of months equals a lot of money for them. Shame on me for not noticing the charges sooner. Shame on them for promoting this scam.
