Scam Scam, Don't Fall For IT!

I received a call on 2/15/08, stating I was picked to receive a $5000 grant and 100 dollars worth of free gas cards. The person claimed he worked for the US Government and when I asked for proof, he stated that in my phone display it should read "02". It did. He then proceeded to tell me what I needed to do to get the money. He has a very heavy accsent and when I asked his name, he said Calvin Miller. So I listened and it sounded legitimate, like a dummy I gave him my information for my account and he said the money would be in my account on 2/18/08 by 10:00 AM. Well, the money wasn't there. And to save 29.99 for the processing fee. He also stated when I hear the recording to verify my information, there will be a part to subscribe to Galaxy members and to say "No". I did that.

After everything was done, I decided to do some research and found all the scam reports, man do I feel stupid. I needed the money so bad I fell for it.

So if anyone gets a call for a grant, don't fall for it, no matter how good it sounds.
