Threatened to search for assets, take my house

I received a phone call today, 18 Feb '08&, number not blocked, after general pleasantries, he stated I owed over $1000 on an accnt I've never heard of. What arrangments would I make, they will collect. I replied I'm 72, own nothing, live on soc sec. He stated I own my home. I replied yes, but, it's on a reverse mortgage, has been for 6 yrs, more is owed than the value. He said they could still take my home, he'd "be looking for other assets to settle their debt." I told the man "you can't get blood out of a stone, thank you for taking time to call, hung up". I've had no mail, requests for payment, from any company or a balance such as he mentioned. He gave me no ref #, nothing, other than attitude and disdain. It sounds like a scam, attempt to intimidate what he considers an elderly person.
