I was hoooked also!

I recieved a cold call from PDM on Saturday, Jan 5; the reps name was Clair. The program sounded good—after all everyone would like lower interest rates.
She went through the sales pitch, and then handed me off to Kevin to collect the money. Kevin recorded the transaction info (more on this later); and they lightened my CC by $920. During the transaction, I specifically asked the procedure for cancellation if I decided the program was not right for me (more on this later also). Tuesday at work, I searched for PDM&lo and behold this site was at the top of the hitlist. I had already halfway decided this was not for me&complaint clinched the deal.
After I got home Wednesday, I called my CC and started to dispute the charge. After I recieved the packet, I got the phone number and called PDM to cancel the service, the rep (didn't get his name) said that must be handled by Robert Garcia —ext. 235 ; and he would give me a call back. Today (Friday, Jan 11) Mr. Garcia called. I told him I wanted to cancel, he said he would have to play the recording back, which he did. After it finished, he came back on the line, and said "any refund would be at the descretion of a financial advisor". I then asked him about what the rep had said in answer to my cancellation question&Garcia flatly stated that the rep said nothing about cancellation!!! I asked him did he go to the bathroom or get a cup of coffee while the recording was playing, because the rep outlined 3 different ways for a refund&"by law you have a 3 day rescion period for a full refund; you can call for a refund after that, but the app fee is not refundable; or if they cannot save you the amount stated ($2500)".
So Garcia played the tape again, and after we got to that part where the rep outlined the methods of refund; he came back on the line and said I would get a refund within 30 days&minus the app fee.
We shall see if that happens; I will call the CC and report all that happened with PDM to make sure that money is refunded. I will also bookmark this site for the future.
