Trying to close credit line, branch manager said he couldnt help me. High interest rate, payments getting no where

Have sent numerous requests to close a revolving line of credit, paying high monthly payments only to go to high interest rate. Faxed request to rochester location asking to close the account, and lower rates or may need to file bankruptcy, the branch manager called me at work and he told me he couldnt help me that i had to call customer service/collections, which i did only to get a computer recording for 11 minutes and when i did get thru they were unwilling to provide a fax number so i could re send my request...

What a rip off... Thousands of dollars in payments going no where.

It is companies like these that force people into bankruptcy.
