False Advertising, Read the Fine Print, Beware

Business & Finance

I signed up for the FREE 30 day trial on 11/27/07. I called and canceled 2 days later (today) on 11/29/07. The lady I spoke to was real nice (she said she was in Oklahoma... And they're based in California, which I find odd, unless they have different sites [i.E. Dell has customer service in India]). We talked about the weather for a minute and then she asked to confirm my account by asking my First and Last name. I waited a few seconds while she "pulled up my account" and she asked for my social security number and mailing address. It checked out so she asked me how she could help me today. I told her I wanted to cancel my free trial. She went on to explain the advantage of continuing my trial the full 30 days, but I declined. She then proceeded to cancel my account and provided me with a cancellation number or something. I said thank you and we said our good-byes.
About 2 hours later, I went to log in to my online banking and it said I have a pending charge from this company. I'm not sure how much I've been charged yet, but I hope I can get my money back.
