Suing me in Court Michigan

Have been fighting with this company for some time, they are sueing me for a credit card debt in I was supposed to go to trial with them 11/5.
I called them before trial and asked if I could make payments as I was terrified to go, never been through this, they said to make 2 payments of 125.00, then a monthly amount there after, I never sighned and returned any of the paper work, as I did research I found out they buy these old accounts, and sue. I did not make that payment, and they cancelled the court date, it says we had reached a agreement and settled,

I do not want to pay them after all I found out, I know I owe this, just no to them, now they are being nasty, wanting me to money wire them, or give them a check by phone, they said I will be in default by the court, I own my home, but do not work, I am a stay at home mom
Not really sure what to do, but from what I read they are the worst
