Demeaning DEBT collection Practices, LIES told

I am not disputing the fact that I owed Verizon Wireless $288.54 i received that bill on July 6 on Aug 25. I contacted verizon wireless to make a payment on that account and was told that it had been written off and sent to National Enterprise Systems and they could be contacted at 800-260-8475. Before i hung up with verizon wireless i asked them as to why i had not been notified that i was being sent to collections, but the woman on the other end did not know, all other info was to be given by NES.

I proceeded to call NES, I have dealt with debt collectors before and all they ever want is money, so i figured since i was calling to make a payment that they would be happy that i was willing to enter into a payment agreement with them. My mistake. The gentleman on who answered the phone, (i figure out later, that he is the only one there, no supervisor to speak to) was very demeaning, told me that i was being sent to court and that there was an additional $700 in court fees being added, that i need to handle my finances better, and there will be no payment plan, full payment only.

I asked him how this got this far, I have NEVER received any letters from NES stating that they had my information, i asked him to send me documentation stating that they had tried to contact me, he said he did not have to. I knew there is something very wrong with this company, i asked for his supervisor, he said he wouldnt waste his time with me, i aske for his address he would not give it, i even called back with a friend on three way, and he said they are located in EGYPT!!! I filed a complaint with fair credit practices, lets see what they have to say now!!! Did they think i would give them money without even having a name or address???
