Cross Country Bank
Ripoff

I made the mistake of applying to and accepting a credit card from Cross Country Bank. I would like to pay them off now, but after reading all of the different comments on this ripoff board, I would like to know the best way to go about this.

I owe them a balance of $728.00, and would like to know if I should call the bank and try to settle for this amount.

Also I get numerous calls from a company calling themselfs ASCS, from reading some of the posts, I think this may be Cross Country Bank's collection agency. They call several times a day, and sometimes leave a message and sometimes not. If this is their collection agency, should I deal with them or the bank.

Any advice regarding this would be greatly appreaciated, and thanks in a advance for any replys.
