LA Tan
Copper Tan is trying to send me to collections after 8 years!

I checked my credit report last week only to find something on there for $185 from LA Tan. Disputed it through all 3 credit bureaus. Received email from bureaus letting me know the investigation is complete and it is my debt to pay.

I contacted the collections agency only to be told I have to pay it or have proof that I closed my account with Copper Tan in 2002. LA Tan bought them out and tried to charge my bank account in March only to see that the bank account was closed. How is it even legal they tried charging me over 2 years AFTER I had closed the membership? They are claiming they have no record of me closing my membership so I don't know what I can do. I wasn't given any paperwork saying I closed it and even if I had, it was 8 years ago!

Can anyone help me?
