Credit Card fraudulent charges ripoff

Bank of America credit card services is horrible. If you are smart, you would never get their credit cards. They are obnoxious with the amounts they charge customers with late fees, overlimit fees, etc. Anytime you're late for a payment, they charge $39.00 late fee. If you're over the limit, they charge $39.00.

What they do is rip you off based on the day you make payments. I have a checking account and a credit card with bank of america. When my credit card payment is due, i'd transfer money from my checking to my CC. My payment is due on the 17th of each month, most of the times.

A few months ago, i made a transfer on the 17th. My CC company did not post the payment until 2 days later. They then charged me a late fee. I called and argued and argued with them based on the fact that the money went out of my checking account the same day, why is it being posted 2 days later? They stated that it is not thier responsibility when the money posts to my account. I've had this issue with them for about 4 times now where they charged me late fees. This month, my May payment was made early.

On the 17th of May, i had some extra money and since my card has almost no money left on it, i decided to pay some. I made a $100 payment on the 17th of May, knowing that it wouldnt post until a few days later and would apply toward my June payment. They did not. That money posted 5/18, one day after my May due date. My May bill has already being paid and the due date is passed so this should go toward my June payment.

I thought i was okay until today. They charge me a $39.00 late fee which brought my account over the limit. I called them and they now tell me that payments are credited based on the day you make it - so therefore this will apply to my May bill (mind you, that was paid already). This is a new rule to me since i've been fighting against a contrary statement they made in the past. They post your money based on when it benefits them - sometimes it's posted the day you make the payment, other times two days later.

They now charged me $39.00 plus and extra $39.00 since their initial fraudulent charge brought my account over the limit. I'm tired of them and once i get some money to pay it all off, i'm going to close my account. They are nasty, rude and obnoxious people and i plan on closing my checking account that i've had for over 6 years with them and my credit card accounts. I've put up with them enough.

Please watch out when you get these types of CCs from these types of institutions.
