Free Companion Fare Promised After Card Spending Never Arrived

Citi Card has a lot of different offers out there with incentives that tie to American Airlines. The one I fell for involves "receiving" a free companion fare on American ten weeks after you spend a certain amount on your card. I have called, and called, and called, and there is no end in sight.

I wrote to their online customer help center, which replied that I will receive it in two billing cycles. Crazy. I want my time back.

Don't fall for these "get 20,000 American Advantage Miles" free scams. I have always known Citi Card/Bank, whatever, to offer horrible customer service, and I wish I hadn't bothered. I don't need the hassle.
