HSBC dishonest, predatory, mean spirited, make a loan shark turn red

I went to get a loan from HFC. They would not quote me anything on the phone and they wanted all kinds of information. So I got it together and went there. The first thing they asked was my goals. Then the loan specialist pulled out an apparant copy of my credit report. He stated I was 30 days late three times in a row and that i was incurring huge fees for that. I told him no I just paid the 30 or 40 dollar late fee. He said that the bank I dealt with would charge me fees into 5000.00 for as many times I was late. He said they would not tell me but in the end they would pull the fees out. That really agitated me.

Then the loan specialist showed some judgments that were apparantly against me. I told him that I never had judgements and he said well it's all here. They went back to draw up a deal and then he came back and said he needed my documentation. I said before I give that to you we need to clear up this credit report. I said I wanted a copy he said HFC would sent me who they down loaded it from. He then said it was from transunion. He said this reads like a book and shows everything you ever did or anything against you. I told him it was inaccurate and that I was really agitated and would have to come back to fill out for a loan.

He then said that collectors do it all the time. Meaning they file judgements without the defendent being there. He further stated that they can still get a judgement event hough you declared bankruptcy. I said no they can't. But, he just kept trying to disgrace me. The loan specialist siad he had done it himself many times. I was so agitated and scared. The next day I downloaded all three credit beureua reports and there were no judgements except for the bankruptcy on my credit report.

I then realized that he was trying to disgrace me to get me to accept the terms he was about to give me. I am sure it would have been some outragous fee. When I said to him no I changed my mind I do not want a loan you will probably charge 3 or 4 thousand in fees. He said that was a standard for someone with bad credit but I would be better off as the other company will charge me fees in the end. I have been over and over my morgtage with the other company and there is nothing in it about hidden fees.

I think he was trying to disgrace me because my current mortgage has a fixed 6.25 percent interest rate and he knew I wouldn't give that up. He even said to me that he would have to see it as clients often think they are getting charged one thing and being charged something else. God, I was so disgraced and unnerved. I had to sit in my car before I drove I think I would have gotten into an accident. I wish the powers that be would stop these kind of companies and people. I really wonder how people like that go home and sleep at night. I surely couldn't.
