National City Bank
Rude, ripoff, scammers, theives

Business & Finance

Where to begin? I deposited a couple checks into my account on a Saturday and at the time asked the teller how soon I could use my debit card. She told me right away. I did, and had no problem with using the card at the store or the ATM.

On Monday, I checked my account online and the available balance was like $200 overdrawn, but the current was $300! I called customer service and was told by "Eric" once the items posted at midnight, the deposit would post first, then the charges. I specifically asked if there would be overdraft charges because I was concerned. I was told no.

Guess what happened on Tuesday? SIX charges $34 a piece. I have contacted them by phone and email explaining my situation and was told "sorry you were given incorrect information, not our problem" Are you kidding me? Not only did they take $204 of my money out of my account, but that caused two other things to bounce and now I'm overdrawn again, and they hit me with two more charges!

I asked for a supervisor, never got a response. Wrote to the manager of Customer Service, so far nothing. When I told them I was going to close my account, they were like, okay. They obviously could care less about their customers and cannot admit when they've made a mistake. This is the second time they have pulled something like this on me and it will be the last. Don't believe their checking is free, they'll just find other ways to make you pay, like stealing from you!
