My grandmother noticed a 159.99 charge on her account and did not know what it was for. I have occasionally used her account in the past, but only with her permission. So she asked me if i knew anything about this charge. Obviously my answer was no. This was a friday night so we had to wait to the following monday to find out what it was for. When i called edp they were less than helpfull. I got the same written speech as everyone else. Well give us all your information so we can find the problem. Well according to our records you did apply for this pre paid debit card. No i did not why would i apply for such a perpostureous thing. If i wanted something like that i would open a checking account and get a debit card. I tried to do a live chat with them the first two times they did not like what i wrote and said that the person had left the session. Then i was able to get to live chat with someone and it was the same rehearsed lines over and over again. When they refused to give my money back saying it had been passed three days since the application had been processed i got off the phone and emmediately called 2 of my attornies that i am waiting for a response from. I also called two of our local news stations fox 8 news and channel 5 news and let them know what is happening and gave them all of edp's information. Tommorrow i am calling the attorney generals office and the bbb of ohio. The company is suppose to be sending me a form to fill out on fraud charges, but the fraud charges we are filing is against them for illegally taking money out of my grandmothers account without her consent. I want to thank all of the other writers for all the information that you obtained in your investigations because i was finding it very difficult my self to find any information on this company. When i typed in edp card into the google search ingine this site is the first and only thing that comes up on this company.
