Online Financial Aid Services - fafsa.Us Ripoff posing as as Federal Student Aid and than charging $70 for a free service

I went to re-apply for my son's financial aid for college and typed in FAFSA assuming I would get to the US dept. Of federal student aid. I got on a site that said FAFSA.US/Online Financial Aid Services and thought it was odd as I have done it 3 yrs previous.

I Filled out the whole thing and at the bottom of the application I was told it would be $79 to submit the application. I was stunned and it was then that I realized these con artists were a private company posing as closely as possible to the fafsa. Ed. Gov site which is free.

There is no notice to the applicant that this is a for profit company. Many hard working people in need will go to this site and assume it is the Feds. And will fill out the application and than probably pay these creeps to do the same thing they can do for free at the federal site. If i didn't know better I probably would have paid the fee and gotten the same service I could have gotten for free. It is a well thought out ripoff of the most vulnerable of people, low income parents trying to secure financial aid for thier kids college education.
