Misleading, fraudulant billing, dishonest, no services rendered, breach of contract or guarantee

First I checked with the Better Business Bureau before I made my decision to go with United Debt SOlutions, Inc. Since there were 30 negative reports and some were resolved I felt confident considering a company such as this could have as many as 10,000 or 20,000 clients.

I called United Debt Solutions, Inc. (UDSI) at 1-800-499-2502 and was connected to extention 1150 and spoke to Jeff Rogers. I received and filled out all required forms for them to gain power of attorney. They informed me they would negotiate with all our creditors to reduce the payoff balance to one third our debt, plus the UDSI fee, combined it would be half of our entire debt. This package included a written guarantee that they would be able to negotiate and reduce our debt or they would refund our money less the setup fee.

I set up an account in order to deposit money for negotiations and for UDSI to charge for their fee which was done in monthly installments. They assured us they were doing all they agreed to do, to help us to negotiate with our creditors.

When we needed to speak to UDS they seldom returned our calls and I only spoke to our consultant Jeff Rogers once since we opened the account. When we phoned UDSI to inform we were issued a civil warrant to face one of our creditors in court, they never returned any of our calls at all.

I started calling our creditors and was informed they never made any negotiations since they refuse to deal with this type of an organization. I managed to negotiate with one of our creditors and settled one of our debts myself.

I immediately closed the negotiation account. Of their total fee of $3,581.59, they had already gained $1,397.00. Needless to say, when the next installment was due they promptly phoned me to say they could not charge the account for the regular installment. I then demanded that we cancel and get a refund based on services not rendered.

It took a few weeks before I got the refund request form. It stated for us to stop further debits we must sign and notorize the cancellation request for their office for review and approval at least 5 days prior the scheduled debit. It also stated that I would not be eligible for cancellation until the entire balance owed to them was paid in full.

I eventually did what I wanted to prevent. I paid an attorney over $1,000.00 to file bankruptcy.
This type of company should be outlawed.
