Merchant Charge Card Signed me up and charged my bank account without my knowledge, ripoff

Once again, I've been shafted as I looked for either a legitimate credit card or a payday loan. I think I'll avoid those in the future or I'll need to spend hours reading alllll of the fine print. I was charged $49.00 originally in November but didn't realize it until I saw a maintenance fee of $14.00 on my bank statement in December.

I missed the other charges and my supposed email confirming my membership went to spam where it rightfully belongs. I received a cheap plastic card in the mail one and one-half months after the my initial accidental contact with the company online and then called to cancel. The company has given me a cancellation number so I hopefully won't be charged anymore, but said they could not refund what I've paid out so far. Rip Off.
