Ripoff dishonesty harrasing report false information liars

One month ago I received a call from NCO Financial and they stated that they were trying to collect a debt from Capital One. The person that I spoke to whose name Frederico stated that in order to pay off this debt Capital One has agreed to cut the payoff in half. This was a lie and false information.

I set up payment with him to have the payment deducted from my account. Once the money was deducted I received a statement in the mail for the total amount of the bill.

One week after that someone else by the name of Yvonne Smith from NCO called and stated that there was another claim in their office from the same company and the amount was $1800. I told her that I have already spoken to someone in her office concerning an account with this company. She indicated that this information just came in today and it needed to be paid. I told her that i am not setting up anything over the phone and to send it to me in the mail so that I could take a look. She began to get nasty with me and indicated that this is not a laughing matter. I told her no one was laughing and hung up.

She called back left a message on my answering machine stating that they are trying to collect a debt and that it was confidential information. If it was confidential why did she leave the information on my answering machine. She does not know who lives in my house. She continues to call and leaves a message with someone pitching her what to say.

1. One question that I have is how can I stop NCO from deducting money from my account?

2. If I do not continue to pay. How much damage can it do to my credit?

3. Are there any legit agencies out there that can restore your credit and remove inquiries (legally)?
