Inc parent Company IRMC Rude and confrontational over phone. Would not tell me the business name calling from or give me info of debt

An extremely rude rep by the name from Allied Interstate called me today and asked to speak to me wife. I explained that she was unavailable (was putting our new born son to sleep) and could I take a message. He ignored my question and continued to ask what her contact number was, to which I told him he had it. He then asked when he could contact her. I then explained I was her husband and asked what he was calling about and from where. It then became a shouting match over the phone with him asking what my name was, and me asking who he was. Not once did he tell me what company he represented or what his call was regarding. After about 5 minutes (seemed much longer) he hung up the phone. I immediately *69 the call, and spoke with another rep who told me the name of the organization and I got the information of the supervisor in the office. She was much more pleasant, but offered no apologies. She stated that the phone conversation was taped and she would review it. I have been told though, that its illegal for a company to record conversations without first letting the called party know that the conversation is being monitored. If there is anyone else dealing with this or any type of abuse from this company FEEL FREE to call 800.469.9091 extension 3001 or call the parent company IRMC at 800.811.4214 or the Chief Marketing Officer (Christopher Dorval) at 646.274.3019 and at cdorval@irmc.com. Maybe even Vikas Kapoor (president and ceo of IRMC) would have some answers for the behavior his subsidiary exhibits.
