Called my mom lied about being a friend I need an attorney ripoff

My Mother called me today and said someone called her yesterday and said she was an old friend of mine from Georgia and that she had not heard from me for a while. She asked my Mom if she had a phone number she could give her or knew how to get in contact with me. My Mother told her she did not give that information out sense she did not know who she was. She also asked my Mom if I was still with my husband and if she could give her his phone number. She knew my husbands full name. Again my Mom refused to give her any info. She hung up without leaving a message and This person never once discolsed she was calling from a company.

I asked my Mom to give me the phone number off the caller I.D.
She gave me 407-260-0044.

I called the number at 7:30 this morning and a woman answered as if it was her home phone. I asked her if it was a business and she said yes it was IRMC.

I asked her why she called my Mom and she said I needed a case #.

When I told her that I did not have one because she lied to my Mom and said she was a friend of mine and never left a message with a case #.

She became defensive and began to yell at me and would not tell me why she had called or what the nature of her call was.

I did some research on the internet and found that IRMC is in fact a collection agency.

It is against fdcpa policy to lie and misrepresent yourself or your company.

I should know the laws of the FDCPA because I was in collections for 11 yearS.

Now I am looking for an attorney to represent me because I plan on suing IRMC.

We all have rights as comsumers.
The fdcpa was created as a bill of rights by the government to proctect consumers from horrible collections practices.
