Fraudulent billing, company claims it doesn't bill for basic registration but my credit card was billed, they claim credit card info used for verification only Ripoff

I joined Worldgroups sometime in early October, as i used to be a member of MSN groups... Which closed down & all of the groups were taken over by worldgroups.

Their website requires that you supply a valid credit card number which they say is used only for the pourpose of verification. I joined as a restricted member which meant i didn't have access to all the features & therefore membership was free.

Several days ago i checked my credit card statement & there was a small amount which was charged by worldgroups. The amount was less than $ 2.00 (AU), but nowhere on the site does it say that you are charged for joining.

I have sent several messages & have yet to recieve a satisfactory response.
