Ripoff Harrassment

I began receiving communications from the Law Offices of Harris & Zide on behalf of Midland Credit at the end of for a debt that I no longer owe. All of my comunication was over the phone, until I finally secured an address.

I sent a cease and desist, which I have since found out should have been via certified mail, and low and behold, the harrassment hasn't stopped.

I just got a letter stating that a Judgement was recently entered against me, and that the amount of the judgement is currently due (although they don't tell me how much the judgement is) and that interest is accruing at the rate of ten percent per annum from the date of judgement.

I was never served, nor was anyone else in my family. They state that they are securing a writ of execution from the court which will permit them to request the Sheriff to serve an earnings withholding order on my employer or levy on other property as appropraite.

Do I have anything to worry about, and if so, what steps can I take to ensure they are unable to collect this debt?
