No Payments No Interest Scam false promises ripoff

I needed to buy a new computer. I went specifically to Best Buy, because I heard they had a no payments, no interest program. That way, I figured I could wait until I got my tax return next spring to pay it in full, not have to mess with it now, and not have to pay any interest.
When I went and looked at the computers, I asked the salesman about this program. He said, yes, that is true. No payments, no interest until 2003. I asked him what I needed to do to do this. He said fill out a credit app and have them run it through. When I got approved, I asked the man who I dealt with when checking out, if that promo was used in my purchase. He told me yes, I wouldn't have any payments or any interest until 2003.
But then what happens? A month or so later, I get my first bill. No interest, but I do have to make monthly payments. I called the Westfield Best Buy, and HRS USA themselves, neither of which claim to have a no interest, no payments program. I thought it was kind of funny that I didn't have any contract to sign stating the terms at the time of sale...
