Ripoff I was convinced by an affiliate company, EPS of Denver to receive a credit card machine for my small business

I was approached by a company in Denver wanting to set me up with a credit card machine for my small business. I was concerned because I didn't think I needed it for my business, but EPS GUARANTEED me that they could transfer the contract to another client if I ran into trouble or found that I was not using it for the business.

Needless to say my business was not profitable enough to sustain the monthly charges from Lease Finance and I began to call repeatedly to EPS and they continued to promise to find someone to take over the contract. Never happened, and when my business partner had 3 heart attacks and then went in for 2 surgeries business became non existant. After paying on the contract for over a year I finally had to stop the automatic deductions. I called Lease Finance and tried to negiotate but they were determined that I pay for the full four year contract and told me that EPS was not allowed to transfer the contract and they refused to take the machine back and wanted me to pay $3500 to cancel the contract. I am having trouble meeting my general living expenses and there was no way I could come up that kind of money. I learned that the machine isn't worth but $500 max per every banking institution that I contacted. I had already paid the company over $1700. I was called a minimum of five times per day for months and months. Each time I had to repeat the problem to a different representative. They refused to consider cancelling the contract even though my partner could not work anymore, and I can't run the business by myself.

Then I received a harrassing call from a private investigator who had been hired by a collection agency, who in turn had been hired by Lease Finance Group, LLC. Needless to say they have ruined my credit and the harrassment are getting worse and the threats to take anything I have for a NOW bill of $5000.

I have never dealt with a company who is so heartless and could care less if your business is successful. All their claims of being here to help the small business owner is a joke and I am fighting anyway I know how, by contacting the Attorney General offices of Colorado and MA. I think if anyone should have to pay for this lease it should be the sales company EPS because they are the ones who lied numerous times about this whole deal.

I would appreciate anyone who has any ideals how to deal with these people. I am sinking fast and I know it will only get worse if they aren't stopped. I was really surprised to see how many others are going through the same thing. Any advice on this would be great!
