Ripoff scam unauthorized charge of 159.95 will not refund

I just found out that my checking account has been debited for $159.95 by EDP credit card services on 8/4. On 7/30, while filling out what I thought was a credit card online, I was surprised when at the end of the first page after entering my bank info which I thought was for verificatin purposes a CONGRATULATIONS and confirmation screen popped up. I was confused. I googled the name of the company and this website came up with all the complaints of people being charged without their knowledge or authorization. I NEED TO STRESS THERE IS NO INDICATION ON THE FIRST APPLICATION SCREEN THAT THERE IS A CHARGE OR FEE.

On 7/31 Mon I immediately called the company after reading all the complaints on this website. A customer service rep finally answered and stated that there was no record of any transaction under my name and confirmation number and that I should call in a few days to check back. Frustrated and concerned because of what happened to several other victims, I immediately emailed them and told them to cancel whatever transaction transpired. I continued to call them but I would be on hold and disconnected after the 12 minute cutoff line. No one responded to the live chat or subsequent email inquiries.

I have been going back and forth with this company through a rep named Bernett R. Who basically denies receiving any correspondence from me and refuses to refund my $159.95. My bank is sending them some paperwork for unauthorized remote check transactions. However, I want to do more to put this to a stop. I know you all agree with me. I am all in for a class action suit. We will have strength in numbers. My next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau and my State Attorney General. If any one had any suggestions that resulted in a refund for money being reimbursed or any other ideas please contact me throught this website. I want to pursue and shut this company down this even by some small miracle I get my money back. I know that the odds are against that. Who is with me?!!! Hope to hear from you all soon.
