Got judgement against husband for Providian accounts combined Bradenton Florida

We ended up in court last year with Asset Acceptance regarding debt with Providian. What they did was combine 2 accounts into one total... Wish I knew then what I know now about both Providian and AA. Keep up the good work informing people of their options. Unfortunately we were 6 mos. Short of the SOL and are making payments.

I never want to deal with these people again!!! I have heard (proof on this site) that AA is having a field day in Ohio. That is one thing I'd like to ask those that are giving advise here... When they come after you for an old debt, is the SOL determined by where you live or where you contracted the debt?

My friend who moved to FL (5 yr SOL) 2 years ago from Ohio and is now being hounded by Asset Acceptance for a debt that is over 8 years old having sent letters to them in OH then FL.

P.S. My friend never responded to the letters in OH as they were preparing to move, I believe they got the 1st about 2 months before they moved.
