No Customer Service for a Military Service Member

I have had many problems since Direct Merchants Bank took over my Mastercard account. Here a just a few.

I on a constant basis I recieve very bad customer service. After I have verified my identity with them I am still spoken to and treated as if I am not the person who holds the account.

I have even been denied service from there customer service. I provided all the information they requested. Then I was told I did not "sound" like the right person and I stole the information and was denied service. I had to wait and call back to get another service represinitive to access my accounts.

I do not know if this is illicet, but I have called before and asked my exact amount owed on my account. That I wish to pay it off with a over the phone check. I wanted to pay everything in full and then have my account cancelled. I was told it was impossible to determin how much I owed because of the current interest rates had not posted. I was told I would never be able to recieve this information over the phone, and by the time your payment reaches the company, more interest has incurred. Thus always owing the company something.

My current problem is I am deployed in the Navy overseas. I had moved from Maryland before deploying. I called the company numorous times with a change of address. I have currently not recieved a bill from the company since Septemeber 2001. I've been paying my bill with an automated feature provided by my bank. But as of today, I have no idea how much I owe, how much I have paid, how much interest is being charged.

It was a mistake to use this company. I would advise anyone to go somewhere else for credit. I am looking forward to paying off this company and canceling my account. If the company ever lets me.
