Lp ripoff!

Just moved to Nevada and got a letter in the mail that I owe $5,784. On a loan I supposedly took out in 1986. This company wants us to fill out an affidafit (sp?) with all of our personal information on it claiming that it's identity theft. This company fails to provide us with a signed contract that says we filled out any loan back in 1986. Never heard of it until now-20 years later?

BUYER BEWARE! Can someone claim that you didn't pay off a loan you didn't ever apply for and then try to collect money from you? Should you fill out an affidafit with all of your information on it and give it to them? I don't think so.instead, what I think I will do is call the State treasury office, as well as send out a press release to all TV stations to tell everyone to beware of this new scam. Scammers beware! We're on your tail and are not going to let you get away with this!
