AZS International
This is just another work-from-home scam - the phone number on their website doesn't even work! They'll scam you!

Business & Finance

This company placed a help wanted ad in my local newspaper (The San Diego Union-Tribune) seeking customer service professionals to work from their home-based answering service division, taking calls and processing orders. I responded to the ad and was contacted the same day by their "Recruiting Manager", Doug Mitchell, who offered me a position after a short telephone interview.

He mailed me an application and W9 form and also sent a flyer stating that I would need to pay $50.00 for a background check, since some of the orders I would be processing required that I take their customers' credit card information. Against my better judgement, I sent in the money. I thought it was odd, because a background check is something the employer would normally pay for - like they'd pay for a drug screen or credit check.

But the opportunity seemed too good to pass up as I was then 6.5 months pregnant and thought this could be a chance to work from home and spend more time with my baby (our first). Plus, we wouldn't need to pay for child care as Doug explained that this was a 24-hour operation - I would be able to set my own hours and work as much or as little as I pleased (30 hours per week minimum).

So I sent in the $50.00 and never heard from him again. I left message after message, contacted them by snail-mail AND e-mail and didn't hear a peep in response, but my check was cashed. Now, whenever I call the 800-number on their website, the line is constantly busy. This is a scam and I have reported them to the BBB, FCC and all the fraud-prevention companies I can find. Don't let them rip you off - BEWARE!!!
