Ripoff credit card to cover suposable bill 9-10 yrs ago

Fiance got a call and conned to accept threat of $5,000 to be taken to court for bill 9-10 yrs ago. Take card right now over phone for 5 star bank and be only charged $1,500. Oo. No papers were to be sent and read first for prior reading and signature as understood. He was so shook up and never handled situation before and they said Had his social secuity # and he gave it to them over phone too. He was on his lunch break and rushed. He is nieve about this sort of stuff.

His roommate 9-10 yrs ago stole his car while he was sleeping and wrecked it. He reported to police and nothing was done. They said oh well. It was from the loan. There is a statue of limatations in SD from the call to state consumer helpline office. The place who car was purchased went out of business way long ago. Doug has worked for the same company 9 yrs-why now. I am writting cause he has a 30 day jail sentence from a problem back in Oct. He did put fraud alert on credit reports.
