Liars, probable frauds, probable ripoff, don't exist, phony location, use mail drop

I was researching possible grant monies to remodel my home for a disability, and found MGR Solutions, aka MGR Resource, aka My Government Grants. I filled out the information box since it didn't require any sensitive information, like SS #, just my name, email address, how much money I was looking for and why.

I got a call a few days later. The guy was very sincere and about the best BS artist I've ever run across. He told me I was already approved, the minimum grant was $25K, and their fee was $449, payable by certified check or money, no personal checks or credit cards. I questioned him for about a half-hour; he had all the answers, and compared their service to using someone to prepare your taxes. You could do it yourself, but it was quicker, easier, and more effective to pay a professional to do it for you. He also mentioned they were very busy, and would be expanding into offices on the 21st floor.

I knew it was too good to be true. I called the Houston attorney general's office; they had no reports, which could be good or bad. (I intend to file a complaint with them.) They suggested I call the Texas State Department to see if the company existed, which I did. The Texas State Dept. Had no record of a company by that name, or any other name or name combination I could think of, doing business in the state of Texas.

I was unable to find a listing for them in any Internet telephone number search engine. Next I called my county library. They looked up the street address. At the Memorial Drive address given, there is a plumbing contractor, a lawyer, and a private post office, otherwise known as a MAIL DROP. None of the businesses listed there had a suite number starting with a number above 5, indicating a 5-story building. If you go to the www.mgr-solutions.com website, there is a picture of a building approximately 5 stories tall.

These guys are obviously frauds and liars, out to fleece people. They didn't get any money out of me, but they are very good and very smooth. Beware!
