Ripoff lied to and cheated

My husband and I decided to refinance in March with Ameriqust because they claimed they could do wonders for us. Well that wasn't quite true.

We refinanced with them anyway to get out of our variable loan with GMAC. When they sent the guy out to sign our loan he knew nothing about it and the numbers were way off. The refinancing charges were over $7000. Well I signed the papers anyway and cancelled the next day because I wasn't comfortable with the loan. We went through the loan process again and still the numbers were incorrect and our escrow wasn't figured in.

The third time I was told the escrow would was figured in. The guy showed up and as we were going through the papers I noticed that the taxes were in the escrow but the insurance wasn't. We signed anyway and the next day I called Shawn at Ameriquest.

He told me he couldn't get the insurance escrowed into the loan because there wasn't enough money left. That seemed strange since my loan amount was larger than my GMAC loan had been and they did it. But I figured he's the professional and he knows what he's doing. And I was a sucker and believed he was looking out for my best interest like he had told me on many occasions.

To help me out on my first years insurance payment he promised to pay my first years insurance out of their branch. Well as of May 2 all of the Ameriquest branches have been closed and my insurance bill remains unpaid and over due!

I have spent all day on the phone with Ameriquest being transfered from one department to the other with 2 people promising to call me back and I haven't heard a thing. When I call to speak with them if either goes directly to voice mail or they are out to lunch.

I also have requested my appraisal a half dozen times and still haven't recieved it. I'm not quite sure what's going on with this company but something sure stinks!
