Ripoff, unnecasary tactics Peabody

Im from mass and i have dealt with cambece law offices. My debt was only 1600.00 dollars altough its not to my knoledge if they cntacted my neigors.

They did when i first came in contact with them tell me if i could'nt find someone willing to lend me the money that they would explore court option's then when i refused to ask my family they got aggresive until i told the to go f* themselves and hung up on them.

Then maybe 2 weeks later they called me offering a "temporary hardship agreement" where i would pay x amount a month until i was done i accepted and began making payments. After like 3 or 4 months until i got a guy on the phone that was apperantly on a power trip and when he insisted i up my payment by 25 dollars to elimanate a month payment at the end and when i said i could'nt he tried telling me that he was gonna cancel the agreement and call teh balance due in full. And my orignal reason for calling was to move the date of my payment back a week he never moved the payment.

Then when i called fliping out cuz my account was in a negative from them they agreed to deducte the 50.00 to cancel out the over draft fee's. Nd when i insisted on filing a complate against that guy i was told his postion with the company was terminated.

Then all was well until just last month when i made a payment of 200.00 and then 3 days later i got a call from a lady who did'nt identify herself and started reading off my personal info such as phone number ssi number. Account number etc. And i asked then she idenitied herself and then insisted i made payment of the rest of the owed amount that was like 156.00. When i told her she was high and that i just had to have a 700.00 repair to my car that i would make payment at the end of the month like i had agreeded she then thanked me for my time and we ended the call. When i talked to the lady hadling my account she was apapled and claimed she saw no recored of that call and that she would look into it for me since i have made final payment to close out the account and that was almost 2 weeks ago now and i am still waiting on a confirmation latter stating that i ahve made final payment and that the caoount is no longer owed.
