CAMCO, Capital Acquisitions and Management rip-off! Dishonest, fraudulent billing!

Last year, I noticed that my father was receiving letters from CAMCO in regards to Bank One and money that he owed. I attempted to call to find out what he owed and the man refused to discuss it with me. I went to my elderly father and he said that it was for an old credit card debt.in December he received a letter stating that he did not make his payment in November and still owed $250.00. At this time he had already made payments to them for about a year. I set up payments from his account and paid that amount.

In april they sent him a letter stating that he still owed $100. When I tried to call CAMCO to explain that he had already made the entire payments and gave the amounts and dates sent out with the check numbers. The lady on the phone first stated that he owed $500.00 then stated that he owed $250 in Dec. She then began stating that the jan 3 payment would have been the dec 30 payment and that the feb 3 payment would have been the march payment. I explained that if the payment came out of his account Jan 3 that it could not be the Dec 30 payment that I mailed. She then began yelling at me telling me to prove it to her over and over, that I should mail her those payments. I now wonder if my father owed any of this debt and that he was probably targeted because of his age.
