Merchant Guide Credit - Triad Financial ripoff

April 25 Merchant Credit Guide started calling my husband about a week ago. They are calling regarding a car loan that we had got in 2000. Trish was the lady who was calling, but said that the finance company had put it on my husband's credit report in 2003. However, we voluntarily sent the car back in 2002.
The finance company is TRIAD FINANCIAL, which is who we got the car financed through, but 3 altenaters and a stuck wide-open fuel injector later, we decided we didn't want the piece of crap anymore.
It had been 2 years since we got the car. Triad sold the car for $6000.00, We owed $9000.00 on it. Trish keeps calling saying that we have to pay this off, and even had the gall to tell me what our credit limit was on the only credit card we own! She wants us to pay with our credit card, lol, l ike I would give out that info over the phone. I am looking for some advice. Thanks.
