Merchant's Credit Guide - NCO Financial ripoff unfounded debt shady lying scumbags

I received a letter from Merchant's Credit Guide Co. Stating I owed them 37,344.57! After finding this site I realize I am not alone! It is a chase account from 1996-7? Sound familiar NCO, merchants have been written, called andwritten again by myself with no proof or conformation of any debt. When I told the collection agent that he in fact owed me fourtythousand dollars he became angry and abusive. My last contact with the company resulted with my representative claiming a different name (it was him) and offering me a different settlement (to call when my tax refund arrived). Their not calling for now but I still receive bills! I will be checking in daily for help and advice. Thank you for your time.
