Ripoff fraudulant collection attempt

I have recieved letters from RJM Aquisistions LLC stating they are my new creditor for a checking account that they supposedly bought from Bank of America. They state it has a negative balance and they are wiling to settle it at. 50 on the dollar. I was immediatly alarmed since I use this account regularly, so I called Bank of America and they confirmed that my account is in good standing and they have never sold any debt to this collection company.
