I have read reports on this company Home Eq and you know us to, didn't chose them as a company for our home loan, it was sold which I think should be illegal. Yes we fell behind on our payments due to my job being lost and my husband being taken for more support in which we hired an attorney which never showed for the hearing, so we are now in the process of changing that but never the less, I set up automatic payments for over an month every pay check of my husbands went to them to get caught up and now that we are on track somewhat, our payment came due Wed. March 1st and they called the 2nd to find out why it hadn't been made which they did even when the payments were already set up to come out automatically. Idiots yes they are, they tacked on $100.00 for appraisal of property (which the lady told me anytime the payment goes 30 days late they do one automatically, I said why, they can't take our home and sell it so I feel like it's a way to get money. Again, they said the person doesn't come on our property to do the appraisal because it could result in tresspassing, I said well we caught the guy on our front lawn one night, he told us what he was doing and you know I should of called the police and filed the tresspassing charges. They call my husbands employment even when they have been told more than once to quit calling there, they have our home phone and address, that is harrassment and also they are disobeying the law. I am working on getting our home loan out of there and will do it as fast as possible because these people are more than stupid. Our house payment is 1337.50 per month and so far this year 2006 (jan, feb payments) we have paid $4156.93 in interest so our statement says. Also the lady told me today that come April our payment changes to 1348.56 due to shortage in our escrow account, which our escrow shows enough to pay our taxes and insurance, and I also told the lady in our agreement it states the payment can't change for 2 years and she said that is only the interest. Also how can paperwork that was signed for one company be enough to keep a contract with someone that you didn't agree to have as your mortgage company? I feel this company is a scam and out to take whatever they can from people. Brenda
