Ripoff

To anyone who has been ripped off my the company America Advantage, please check with the better business bureau, or check on the internet to see if they are ligit. On 10/24/05 I recieved a call saying that I qualified for a student grant qualifying me for$12,500. I went for it, and gave them the information that they needed, STUPID. They were suppose to send the money to my account on the 26th of October. I checked my account on that day, and the money was not in there. I then proceeded to call them at the number that they gave me. I had to leave a message. Needless to say, when I got the answering machine, I knew that there was something wrong. I immediately called by bank, and tried to stop payment. Being that they did not have a number to track the company, I had to wait until they sent the check through, so that they could get a number to stop payment. They are really good. I called my institution on Friday to let them know that I wanted to stop payment on the check. To make a long story short, they got my $49.95 and I have to wait for atleast 2 or 3 months before I can get my money back. Please don't let them get away with this. If you can, please let all of your e-mail buddies, and everyone else that you know, to be on the lookout for this company, and hang up if they every call you.
