Fifth Third Bank
Robbed my children for close to $800 in frivelous fees and charges for being overdrawn less than $10 for one day

Being a Fifth Third customer for more than ten years and received only frivelous charges and fees that we as middle class Americans have no chance of fighting. After overdrawing an account for less than $10.00 and not even for 24 hours, I was charged $500. They claim that because it happened over a weekend, i would be charged for every transaction made.
Whether the transaction was for $1.00 or $100.00.
(Mind you it was overdrawn less than $10.00.) Then had the nerve to treat me like some kind of dirty criminal. I called everyone in the Fifth Third phone book and received absolutely no help or even kindness.

I paid the $500 fine and then they have the nerve to tell me that my account cannot be closed technically. Monthes later there is a $20.00 check cashed that I wrote a long time ago and didn't realize that they had never cashed it. There was only $10.00 in my account so again I became overdrawn. The bank is now trying to charge me $175.00 overdraw fees and charges because this happened two weeks ago. How is this legal? I can see charging me the initial $33.00 overdraft fee. But $175.00!! And they sent the check back! Something needs to be done for the sake of the lower and middle class Americans that get robbed by corporate America. Where is our government to help us when the rich rob the poor? I have been banking with LaSalle Bank and have not yet had any problems. They actually remember what CUSTOMER SERVICE is!!
