My credit has been ruined! I was billed for life insurance that was never authorized ripoff

My credit is ruined! I opened a 90 day same as cash account with a Firestone Dealer through Credit First National Association. A month or so after the account was opened, I noticed charges for life insurance premiums I had not authorized.

I paid my account as agreed, but I refused to pay the life insurance premiums. They could never provide proof that I authorized the charges.

My account was referred to collections and the amount of the unpaid premiums was reported as a charge off to the credit reporting agencies. Several phone calls and correspondence was made, but still no resolution of the issue. The company representatives were all very rude and couldn't understand why I was so upset. The credit reporting agency didn't seem to care.

Another credit card company performed a random credit check and after discovery of the unsatisfactory report, they chose to raise my interest rate from 9% to 27%. Now I can't even afford the minimun monthly payment.

This has been a frustrating ordeal and I don't know which direction to turn at this point. I really need my credit repaired.
