Incorrect reporting to Credit Reporting Agencies mistreated and ripped off deceptive company

Business & Finance

In March I opened a secured credit card account with FNBM to rebuild my credit and raise my credit scores.

Recently I started monitoring my credit report and noticed that FNBM has been reporting to the Credit Reporting Agencies that I have three separate credit card accounts with them which is untrue and reported payment history, amount due, etc for each account.

This error in reporting has caused my credit to be blemished and lowered my credit score. Needless to say, when I discovered this I tried to resolve the matter with First National Bank of Marin by means of communicating on the telephone, letters, etc and each time they would give me an excuse on the pending investigation.

I have since been denied a credit increase with FNBM which I venture to say is due to the investigation. Therefore, I have contacted the Office of the Comptroller about my problem with FNBM and awaiting the feedback from their investigation.

I advise others to report FNBM if you too have had trouble with the company and to spread the word to friends and family to avoid this company. Thanks for reading..
