Putting additional principal payments into suspense

I send in additional principal payments.

If my account is past due they do not apply the additional principal payment but put it in suspense - there is currently $34.02 in my suspense account. I am not getting any interest on this money.

My previous payment arrived in the lock box on a Saturday
July 30th and was not posted until Monday August 1st which made my payment late.

My last payment arrived in the lock box at 3:59 AM on
August 29 but was not posted until August 30th still making my payment current.

The additional principal was again placed in Suspense.
