Unethical fees and refusal to cash check for payment RIPOFF

I applied for this card because I had not had a major credit card for a number of years and lived on an all cash basis. Having run a credit report it said I could not qualify because I had no recurrent monthly payments to rate credit on, which is ABSURD, but that is what the report said. I had not had car payments in about two years and had paid the loan off early.

SO I got an Orchard Bank card; in the first month I paid them their payment and they HELD the check for almost three weeks (yes I sent it to the correct address) and then charged me a late fee which upset a great deal. I began to argue with them about the fee. They were RUDE, unjust and unethical in their claims, so I canceled the card in July.

I have received harrassing phone calls and nasty emails from them for over a year. They refuse to cash the payoff check I sent, they had continued to charge over the limit (only because of their late charges) fees, they now say they cannot find the account, and it is just absurd that they will not close the account and let this go for the proper amount. They had reported ALL of this to the credit bureaus and willfully, maliciously and intentionally harmed my credit rating.

NOW I remember WHY I did not have a major credit card for years! I have read many other reports on here just like mine and there have been numerous lawsuits filed and won against this company. However in order to get them to listen you must spend the time, energy and money to sue them. GOOD GRIEF! Well don't do business with these folks, they lie, cheat and steal, with malicious intent.
