I see I have good company. I too received a letter saying this company purchased a debt from Chase Providian in the total amount of $9698.76 with interest of $4334.30. I too had a bankruptcy filed in the early 90's.

I have already responded by letter - certified mail and will take the advise that everyone else has had by contacting the
FTC, USPS as well as my attorney general.

I have only received the initial letter and they had been trying to get me by phone. Once I realized it was them I reported them to the Do Not Call Registry - as I have my number listed. So far I have not gotten any additional phone calls - I will keep my fingers crossed.

I certainly hope this company gets what it deserves
